Amanda graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Speech and Theatre Arts and a minor in English.She continued her education to secure a teaching certificate with the State of Utah.
A Utah native, she moved to Park City, UT in 1971 with her husband Jan and 2 small children to open a ski shop at Park City Resort. Over the next 30 years she worked to shape the Park City community into what it is today – a world class ski resort and bustling full time residential community with residents and visitors from all over the world.
Amanda’s professional and volunteer career includes:
- First paid Executive Director of the Park City Chamber of Commerce.
- Professional fund raiser for the United States Ski Team.
- Buyer for JANS, a retail sporting goods store in Park City.
- Advertising agency sales representative.Chairman of the Snyderville Basin Special Recreation District and chairman of the Trail Committee, an organization that worked to acquire land for parks and trails in the Park City area and build community recreation facilities.
- Member of the Advance Identification Wetlands Committee, a committee for the Army Corps of Engineers.

Since moving to Midway, Utah in 2000, she has enhanced her real estate career by adding Wasatch County to her list of areas she represents. She and her husband Jan of JANS have renovated a 1886 historic farm into a charming home with gardens, barn, horse arena and guest house where they now live. She has carried her volunteer spirit to Midway by serving on the Midway City Trail Committee.
Her passion for skiing, tennis, golf and horses and her extensive knowledge of the growth and development in the communities she has lived has made her an outstanding real estate agent for recreational properties in Summit and Wasatch Counties, Utah.
