Heber City
Heber City, just 20 minutes from Park City and 5 minutes from Midway, is the commercial center for Wasatch County. The community offers a variety of grocery, clothing, gift and antique stores as well as several banks and restaurants. Car dealerships, building supply stores and mechanics are a part of the industrial section of town. A hospital, library, post office and County government offices and churches are conveniently located in the town center. Nearby is the Heber Valley Airport for small commercial and private air crafts. All types of recreation are available to include ball fields, parks, trails, rodeo grounds, a horse performance and training arena and exhibition space and a new recreation center that includes tennis courts, fitness facility and sport courts. Horse and ranching enthusiasts love the feed store and nurseries. A main attraction is the Heber Valley Railroad, a historic steam engine train the transports tourists to and from Provo Canyon and Bridle Vail Falls. The famous Cowboy Poetry Festival is held each year and is renown for its quality and attendance.
The residential communities are a mix of historic, new construction and multiple family housing. Utah Valley University sits along the East corridor entering Heber City. This together with a good school district including a state of the art new high school completed in 2009, makes this small but industrious community a nice place to live.
